Sharon & Tom’s Wedding at The Silver Sixpence

wedding

I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Sharon & Tom’s wedding celebrations towards the end of last year at the beautiful The Silver Sixpence Wedding Venue!

The weather couldn’t make up it’s mind but luckily the rain held off and their incredible forest ceremony could go ahead as planned :-)

Guests were treated to an amazing cheese cake, lawn games, a gin bar second to none and the vocal talents of Jeremy Glenn Rishworth with celebrations continuing into the night 💃🕺

Here’s a slideshow of highlights from throughout this very special day!

Fitness portraits with Nic Tessendorf

Fitness, Portraits

Watch the fitness portraits video below for a collection of most of the images from our shoot, but be sure to scroll down to view some more favourites!

A challenge was set among the trainers at Nic’s sports centre. The goal was to get in the best possible shape by the deadline given. Needless to say, Nic won the challenge with his impressive physique as you can see from the video and images below.

Thanks to last minute call from Nic’s wife Faye, we set up a fitness portrait shoot to mark the hours of training, dedication, effort and self-discipline it takes to reach such an impressive build.

Call time was scheduled for 6am on Saturday morning so we could shoot before Nic’s clients began to arrive for their training sessions.

The brief was also to include some creative edits so I did ;-) The behind-the-scenes pics were included intentionally too as it really helps set the scene for our fitness portraits session

Venue: Warriner High Performance Centre

Baby Meliah

Newborn

Having photographed Trusha & Kishan’s maternity session not so long ago it was really special to visit their home and photograph their beautiful daughter. This beautiful newborn session with 13-day old Baby Meliah was photographed in the comfort of the family home in Bryanston.

I previously worked with Trusha actually so it was even more special to meet her family after all this time. Although at first little Meliah thought everything was rather exciting and was a little fidgety we persevered and thanks to mom and dad’s patience we got so many lovely pics. She is too special for words, congratulations on your new arrival Kishan & Trusha!

Thank you to Props n Things for the stunning wraps and fabric.

Are you or a family member expecting? Get in touch to book your maternity and / or newborn session here.
Maternity sessions can be done at home, outdoors or in a beautiful studio style while newborn sessions are generally done in the comfort of your own home soon after baby’s arrival. Let’s chat about what you have in mind to forever remember this incredibly special time for any family.

Portraits with Kayleigh

Portraits

Portraits with Kayleigh was inspired by the work of portrait photographer Jake Hicks and having purchased some of his tutorials I was over-the-moon to have the incredible Kayleigh Ross in front of my camera for a creative portrait session!

Kayleigh is a complete natural and was the perfect person for this – apart from being super patient with me while I tested the various lighting setups.

We shot this in Kayleigh’s lounge which really is testament to the fact that you don’t need a fancy studio to create some incredible images.

For the photographers:
Fujifilm X-T2 + 56mm lens
Godox AD200’s x 2 + Yongnuo speedlight on slave for some images

Naffie’s Birthday Celebration

Events, Parties

Thursday night saw Naffie celebrate her birthday in style at the magnificent The Marabi Club in Johannesburg!

Friends and family enjoyed the live jazz music, champagne and hors d’oeuvres before being whisked away to a VIP private room that’s a closely guarded secret so much so that photos are forbidden(!)

Needless to say, the party continued there late into the night!
