About two weeks ago a heart breaking request was shared on the I Love Fourways facebook group by a mom whose son would be emigrating without her. Rickie-Lee reached out to request some special memories to cherish once he was gone.
The outpouring of love, support and empathy from the community was incredible with so many photographers as well as other service providers offering what they could.
Among others, Greg Clifton-Wells from the Pay-It-Forward Foundation rallied to bring everyone together to help in whatever way they could.

Fast forward 5 days and I met with Rickie-Lee and Josh to photograph them before his flight was due to depart just a couple of days later.
Below is a collection of the moments shared including a private, quiet conversation they shared that Rickie requested also be captured too as difficult as this must have been for her.
Rickie, it was really special to meet you both and I just hope that you will be re-united sooner rather than later so that your special bond with Josh can continue to flourish as he grows up. I have no doubt though that even being so far apart your love for each other will
